However when my 6 years old lost his first tooth and started bleeding he came running up to me in the kitchen asking me to call 911 because he had lost his tooth and according to him it was a medical emergency. I laughed it off at that time and explained to him why losing a milk tooth was not an emergency, but then it got me thinking. I called my dental clinic the next day to find out if they had any such number to contact the doctor for when of a dental emergency. Although the person on the other side of the receiver could not give any such number she did assure me that there is always a doctor on call at their clinic in case of any dental emergency.
